Strive is Executive Chairman of the Econet Group which includes Cassava Technologies and Econet Wireless. He currently serves on the boards of Netflix Inc., the National Geographic Society, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He also serves on several advisory councils including Bank of America and Stanford University, among others. Born in Zimbabwe, Strive has lived in London since 2010. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electric and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cardiff and has been awarded several honorary doctorates including from Yale University, Morehouse College, and Nelson Mandela University. He was recently selected an International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
