My vision is to create a poetry anthology that showcases the writing of 100 Black creatives. The goal is to come together as a community to produce a powerful and unique body of work. I really appreciate everyone that has shared the opportunity with colleagues, friends and family.

100 Black Voices was founded by Danique Bailey, a Commended Poet in the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2018. I am an English student at the University of Bristol and was a Foyle Intern at The Poetry Society last summer. I am responsible for the administration and marketing of 100 Black Voices. I designed the logo and all other aspects of 100 Black Voices. The face in the design for the 100 Black Voices logo is meant to be deliberately ambiguous in terms of gender and facial expression, to reflect the range of perspectives and styles that will be in the anthology.
I'd like the poetry anthology to be an opportunity for poets around the world to share their words and showcase their talent.
I will be using any money raised from the poetry book to donate to charity. The charity that I choose to raise money for will be voted for by everyone that has a poem in the anthology. Current suggestions are the Sickle Cell Society, the Grenfell Foundation or Sistah Space. A running total of the money raised will be kept updated on the website and on social media.
