Ronald Thompson retired as chairman of TIAA and as a board member of Chrysler and then Fiat Chrysler Automotive Group LLC. He was CEO of Midwest Stamping Company, a manufacturer of metal components for the auto industry. Thompson has been a lifelong entrepreneur.
