Singleton has been a law partner at Husch Blackwell LLP, Segal, and other firms. She focuses on government and regulatory matters, government relations, and public policy. Singleton was appointed by President Clinton as General Counsel of USAID. She began her career as a legislative assistant to US Representative Parren Mitchell and later Legislative Director to representative William Gray. Singleton was later a partner at Patton Boggs LLP, amongst other firms. She is currently a director of Alliant Energy and United Rentals.
